What is Inktober event?
Not yet familiar with Inktober? No problem. Even if we’re in mid October 2017 the time has not passed and you can take this month’s challenge. Inktober is an annual challenge created by Jake Parker that calls on artists to create an ink-based drawing every day of the month and share their creations on social media using the #Inktober2017 or #Inktober hashtags. Many illustrators, artists or amateurs around the world are taking their pens and challenge their creativity.
Social media networks are filled with lots of wonderful hand art works. Here are a few links that you can have a look at:
In the video below you can get some tips on how to tackle Inktober. Parker explains how artists can overcome creative hurdles and idea droughts. He will help you with the official prompt list.
One of our artists took this challenge and made a magic creature for this Inktober event; a golem.

Inspired by the meaning of the word golem connoting the unfinished human being before God’s eyes, this character reflects the huge passion for details. Being very similar with a monster and having the touch of the stone age, this character could be easily integrated in a story about anger and power.
I would be very curious to see how this character would look animated. If you want it for some demo animations, please ping me and I am happy to publish it.
I would love your feedback on this art work. Please leave your insights in a comment or just rate this post!
PS: And one more question! How would you see it animated? Would it be something funny or would you take the real sense of a golem?
